Building on our successful track record in environmental and ecological consulting for the past 26 years, the newly established OIKON MEA Ltd. specializes in sustainable development and renewable energy-related environmental services, further reinforcing OIKON’s commitment to environmental stewardship and holistic, forward-thinking solutions.

Established in 1997 with its main office in Zagreb, Croatia, OIKON Ltd. – Institute of Applied Ecology has been a trusted partner for clients seeking expertise in applied ecology, environmental protection, industrial ecology, and more. In late 2020, we expanded our services to Ljubljana, Slovenia, with the opening of OIKON SI, Institute for Sustainable Development Ltd., broadening our scope and enhancing our services in the field of sustainable development. The expansion to new markets aligns with our vision of being ‘one step ahead in the development of human society in harmony with nature’.

The Dubai office is led by Alida Ban Pavlović, an experienced environmental legal expert who has also been the Head of Oikon’s Department of Environmental Law, Policy and Economics since its founding in 2019, and has great knowledge and experience of the UAE and the region. “OIKON MEA is dedicated to sustainable development – a multidisciplinary approach that integrates environmental, economic, and social considerations to create a better and more resilient future. Sustainable development aligns with the UAE’s own goals for environmental conservation and long-term prosperity,” emphasizes Alida.
