OIKON Middle East & Africa proudly attended the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30) in Belém, Brazil — a key global forum for climate policy, finance, and action. Our team engaged with decision-makers, legal experts, negotiators, and sustainability leaders from around the world.
At COP 30, the urgency of translating policy into measurable impact was clear. Parties reaffirmed their commitments under the Paris Agreement and advanced critical discussions on national climate targets, adaptation planning, and financing mechanisms. We took part in sessions that covered:
- The activation of the Loss and Damage Fund, a major step toward climate justice and support for vulnerable countries.
- Updates to the 2025 NDC Synthesis Report, showing renewed global efforts to bend the emissions curve downward.
- Multilevel governance initiatives, including partnerships that bring local leadership into the heart of climate implementation.
Our presence at COP 30 allowed us to strengthen ties with global actors shaping climate law, ESG frameworks, and investment pathways. We exchanged insights on:
- Climate risk disclosure and legal compliance
- ESG reporting standards and implementation tools
- Climate finance and blended finance frameworks
- Sector-specific pathways for renewable energy and decarbonisation
OIKON MEA also used this platform to connect with partners and clients, forecast emerging regulatory trends, and explore opportunities that support the transition to low-carbon economies.
We remain committed to helping organisations in the Middle East and Africa navigate complex climate frameworks. From federal climate laws to global climate finance agendas, OIKON MEA stands ready to turn climate policy into practical business action and sustainable value.
COP 30 reaffirmed one thing: the world must act faster. OIKON MEA will continue to work at the intersection of law, sustainability, and climate strategy to support that action.
